Stomach or Waste Basket! Doctor’s Find Surprising Items inside Punjab Man’s Body

Chandigarh: Surgeons at a hospital in Punjab’s Moga were shocked to locate earphones, lockets, screws and even rakhis inside the stomach of a 40-year-old man.

The x-ray scan of the stomach of this patient suffering from high fever, stomach ache, and nausea showed several metallic objects lodged inside the man’s stomach. After a three-hour-long surgery, doctors were able to successfully remove these items from his body.

Almost 100 items were pulled out of his stomach including earphones, washers, nuts and bolts, wires, rakhis, lockets, buttons, wrappers, hairclips, a zipper tag, a marble and a safety pin. The operation was conducted at the Medicity Hospital in Moga.

The man’s family said they were also surprised by the findings and did not know when and why he consumed the items. His parents said that he suffered from mental illnesses.
