‘Stree 2’ Choreographer Jani Master Arrested in Sexual Assault Case

Hyderabad: Famous choreographer Jani Master, who is accused of sexual assault by a woman who worked with him, was arrested.

He allegedly sexually assaulted a 21-year-old woman multiple times. Jani Master whose real name is Shaik Jani Basha recently choreographed the hit song ‘Aayi Nahi’ from ‘Stree 2’.

Jani Master was arrested in Goa by the Cyberabad police. He will be brought to Hyderabad on a transit warrant.

A case was registered against Jani Master after the woman filed a police complaint with the Cyberabad police alleging that Jani Master sexual assaulted her during outdoor shoots.

A panel formed by the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce has also launched a probe into allegations of sexual harassment against Jani Master. It has asked all Telugu Film and TV Dancers and Dance Directors’ Association not to allow Jani Master to discharge duties as its president until he is cleared of all the charges.

The Telangana BJP Mahila Morcha has issued a statement stating that the party considers it a “Love Jihad” case.

The Jana Sena party led by Pawan Kalyan has asked Jani Master to stay away from its programmes. Earlier Jani Master had campaigned for the party.

Jani Master has choreographed notable tracks such as ‘Kaavaalaa’ from ‘Jailer’ and the title track of ‘Teri Baton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya.’
