Ayodhya: Today, on the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami, the Ram Temple in Ayodhya witnessed a historic ‘Surya Tilak’ ceremony, inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visionary concept. Nripendra Mishra, chairman of the Ram Temple Construction Committee, revealed that the Prime Minister conceived the idea during the final stages of the temple’s construction. The objective was simple yet profound: to ensure that every Ram Navami, the first rays of the sun would illuminate the forehead of the Ram Lalla idol in the temple’s sanctum sanctorum.

Utilizing state-of-the-art technology, a specialized apparatus was developed to precisely target a 5.8-centimeter ray of sunlight onto the deity’s forehead. This remarkable feat was made possible by ten distinguished Indian scientists stationed at the Ram Mandir, ensuring the seamless execution of the ritual.
