Tension at Bhadrak’s Dhamnagar; Prohibitory Orders Under Sec 163 of BNSS Imposed

Bhadrak: Four persons were injured in a violent clash between two groups at Godipokhari Bazaar under Dhusuri police limits in the Bhadrak district on Thursday.

Following this incident, Bhadrak district administration clamped prohibitory orders under section 163 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita at Godipokhari and adjacent villages within 1 km radius.

According to a notification issued by the Office of the Sub Collector and Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Bhadrak, the prohibitory orders will remain in force from 2.00 pm September 19 to 10 pm September 21.

As per the notification, “Unlawful gathering/ congregation are strictly prohibited on the above mentioned proceeding areas. The IIC Dhusuri police station is hereby directed to promulgate the order on the spot through mike announcement with immediate effect in the aforesaid areas and take necessary and eminent steps to disperse the mob, who will create disturbance in the said proceeding area and to take action as per law against the disturbing persons.”

“The Tahasildar, Dhmanagar is hereby directed to remain in charge as Executive Magistrate to maintain law and order situation over the spot,” the notification added.

Of the four injured in the clash, one was transported to Cuttack as his condition deteriorated.
