Terrorist Shot Down in Encounter in J-K’s Pulwama

Srinagar: A terrorist was gunned down during an exchange of fire that broke out between terrorists and security forces at Frasipora in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district in the wee hours of Thursday.

The gunfight happened in the Muraan area of the district after security forces initiated an operation after received inputs about the presence of terrorists in the area.

Following this, an exchange of fire took place.

According to police sources, body of an unidentified terrorist was seized at the site of the encounter, two km away from Pulwama town.

The operation is still going on in the area. The area has been cordoned off by the army and the police and a search operation is continuing.
