Toxic Gas Leak at Rourkela Steel Plant, At least 8 Workers fall Sick

Rourkela: Leakage of toxic carbon monoxide gas injured at least eight workers at Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) on Monday. The injured workers included three regular workers and five contractual labourers.

These workers fell sick because of the toxic gas leak at the blast furnace number- 5. The gas leak occurred while the maintenance work was going on.

The eight injured were admitted to the ICU of Ispat General Hospital (IGH).
