TV Actress, Friend Honeytrap Ex-Armyman in Kerala, Arrested

Thiruvananthapuram: Malayalam TV actress Nithya Sasi and her friend Binu were arrested for allegedly honey trapping a 75-year-old ex-army man and extorting Rs 11 lakh from him.

Sasi made contact with the 75-year-old victim living in Thiruvananthapuram through a phone call on the pretext of renting his house.

Sasi befriended the victim through regular phone calls and visits.

During a visit, she threatened the aged ex-serviceman to remove his clothes and her friend Binu clicked their intimate photos on his phone.

Then the duo threatened the victim to post the photos on social media and demanded Rs 25 lakh.

The victim paid us Rs 11 lakh. But when threats continued with demand for more money, the victim lodged a complaint at the Paravur police station on July 18.

A trap was set. As directed by the police, the complainant called the accused to his home on the pretext of paying the remaining money. The waiting police team then arrested the duo.
