Two Kerala Doctors Led to Watery Grave by Google Map

Thiruvananthapuram: Two doctors lost their lives and three others were seriously injured when the in which they were travelling fell into the Periyar river in Kerala’s Kochi at wee hours of Sunday.

The deceased were Advaith (29) and Ajmal (29). Both were working at a private hospital in Kochi. The accident occurred at around 12.30 AM.

As per reports, it was raining heavily and the visibility was too low. Advaith, who was driving the car was using GPS tracking to find the path.

It is alleged that when they reached a heavily waterlogged area, Google Maps navigated them straight into it and their car plunged into the overflowing river.
