Scolded by Mother for Mobile Use, Class 12 Student Ends Life in Lucknow

Lucknow: A girl studying in class 12 ended her life in Lucknow after being scolded by her mother for using her mobile phone and talking to friends all day.

The victim identified as Sunita was unwell for the last few days and was not attending school. At home, she used to talk to her friends for long over her mobile phone. Her mother reprimanded her and took her mobile phone away.

Upset over her mother’s scolding, Sunita hanged herself in her room. Before taking the extreme step, she also sent her brother outside to play.

Lucknow Police took the body into its custody and sent it for postmortem.
