Two Maoists With Hefty Prize on Their Heads Slain In Encounter in Chhattisgarh

Raipur: Two Maoist leaders with rewards on their heads were killed during an encounter with the security forces in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district on Wednesday.

According to reports, this encounter took place in Baddepara forest under Madded police station limits on Wednesday morning.

Police seized the bodies of the two Maoists from the spot of the encounter. The deceased included Manila, a naxalite leader with Rs 8 lakh reward on his head.

Combing operation continues in the area as it is suspected that some of the Maoists who escaped from the spot may have been injured in the gunfight.
