Violent Love Triangle: Youth Hacked to Death In Front of Lover in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: A love triangle turned violent as a youth was hacked to death in front of his lover at the Chintamaniswar area under Laxmisagar police station limits in Bhubaneswar on Friday night.

The deceased identified as Anjan Behera was hacked to death by a sword by a youth named Pinku. Pinku killed Anjan in front of the girl at around 2 am.

As per reports, Anjan was a friend of Goutam who was in love with the girl. After attending a party on Friday night, Goutam along with his friend Anjan had gone to meet the girl. Pinku, who was also in love with the girl, attacked Goutam with a sword while he was talking with the girl. While trying to save Goutam, Anjan was seriously injured.

Following the incident, the accused and the girl escaped from the spot.

Locals rescued the victim and rushed him to the Capital Hospital, where he died. Police have seized the body and sent it for postmortem.

Anjan was working in a private catering company.
