Wild Elephant Attacks Maoists in Kerala, One Injured

Thiruvananthapuram: A Maoist group faced a wild elephant attack inside jungles in the Kannur area of Kerala on Friday.

But most members of the Maoist group managed to escape except for one. According to Kerala police sources, a suspected Maoist was injured in the elephant attack.

Police took him into custody and he was admitted to the Kannur Government Medical College and Hospital for treatment.

A police investigation into the incident is underway.
