Wild Elephant Tramples Aged Woman to Death in Angul

Angul: An elderly woman was trampled to death by a wild elephant on Saturday morning at the Amlabereni village under the Kishorenagar block in Odisha’s Angul district.

The deceased was identified as Asha Dehuri of Amlabereni village.

According to reports, the victim came face to face with the wild pachyderm while she was collecting mangoes in the forest near the village. Sh etrie dhard to run away. But the wild elephant fell her to the ground and trampled her to death.

Locals found her body and informed the forest officials about the incident. They also demanded compensation to the family of the deceased.
