Ola launches an affordable electric scooter with a 141 km range

Electric scooter maker Ola Electric has launched its new S1 EV in India. The sales of the new Ola S1 will start on September 1 and the delivery of the electric scooter will start on September 7. It is expected to compete in the market with electric scooters like Ather 450X, Simple One, TVS iQube, and Okinawa Okhi 90.

It has an ex-showroom price of Rs 99,999. The new Ola S1 electric scooter is designed just like the S1 Pro. And you can book it from 15th August to 31st August for just Rs 499.

The new Ola S1 has a 2.98kWh battery pack. Its top speed is 90 km per hour. The EV maker claims that the new Ola S1 can deliver a range of 141 km on a single charge. The new S1 will get various features, like-music playback, navigation, companion apps, and reverse mode. The new Ola S1 electric scooter looks exactly like the S1 Pro. Its design elements are almost identical. However, this new scooter is available in four color options Jet Black, Liquid Silver, Porcelain White, and Neo Mint.

Along with the Ola S1 launch, the EV maker has also announced a new ‘Khaki’ collar scheme for the S1 Pro electric scooter. The Khaki Edition of the Ola S1 Pro has priced at Rs 1.49 lakh. It is also informed that Ola Electric has also rolled out its first electric car, which can be launched in 2024. Ola Electric CEO Bhavish Aggrawal said that it will be the sportiest looking car made in India. He also said that the Ola electric car will be able to accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 4 seconds. In addition, it will give a range of more than 500 km. The new Ola electric car features are Assisted Drive technology, keyless operation, and Ola Move OS.
