A 30-year-old man shot dead 12 family members, including his father and brother in Iran, reported Iran’s official media on Saturday.
The unidentified man used a Kalashnikov assault rifle for this massacre. He was later shot dead by Iranian security forces in the south-central province of Kerman.
This shooting incident in a remote village is suspected to be the outcome of a family dispute.
Mass killings are rare in Iran, where hunting rifles are the only weapons people are allowed to possess.
