5 Arrested in Karnataka’s Mangaluru for Allegedly Pelting Stones at Mosque

Bengaluru: Five persons were arrested for allegedly throwing stones at the Badriya Mosque in Katipalla, located on the outskirts of Mangaluru, Karnataka. They were pro-Hindu activists, affiliated with the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), reported India Today.

According to reports, at around 10.30 pm four miscreants on two bikes threw stones at the mosque on the eve of the Eid-e-Milad festival. The stones shattered the windows of the mosque. Police were deployed at the spot to avoid escalation of tension. The situation was under control and remained peaceful. Police are continuing further investigation.
