Class 10 Student Shot While Trying To Protect Mother, Sister from Harassment in Haryana

Chandigarh: A Class 10 student received a bullet wound while trying to protect his mother and sister from harassment in Haryana’s Palwal on Thursday.

The injured student identified as Lokesh, is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Palwal.

According to the police sources, three miscreants on bikes started misbehaving with Lokesh’s mother and his sister when the three were returning home on Thursday. Lokesh confronted the miscreants. During the ensuing tussle, one of the three miscreants pulled out a gun and shot Lokesh before escaping from the spot.

The bullet hit Lokesh’s right hand. His mother and sister managed to get him to a hospital. Police registered a case and are trying to track down the accused. According to the police, the man who shot Lokesh has been identified.
