Delhi School Student Dies Days After Physical Attack By Seniors, Police Initiate Probe

New Delhi: A 12-year-old boy died in a hospital on January 20, nine days after he was allegedly attacked by a group of seniors at a school in Delhi.

According to police sources, the deceased faced physical assault on Saturday last week and he was admitted to the hospital in serious condition. Following his death, police have registered a case and further legal proceedings are underway.

The body was sent for autopsy to ascertain the cause of death. Legal action would be taken as per the report. The incident took place on January 11 and the boy died on January 20, said Delhi Police.
