Employee Steal Hotel Owner’s Scooter After Not Getting Salary, Arrested

New Delhi: Two youths were arrested by the Gurugram police while they were trying to sell a stolen scooter.

The arrested accused were identified as Rohan Rajput and Omji from Saharsa district in Bihar. After being arrested on Wednesday, they confessed that they had stolen the scooter of a hotel owner from Paschim Vihar in Delhi and were trying to sell it.

They had changed the number plate of the scooter.

During interrogation, the main accused Rohan Rajput revealed that he served at the Wrapchic hotel in Paschim Vihar in Delhi from March to May. The hotel owner did not pay the salary for two months. Angry over it, he took away the scooter and a mobile phone of the hotel owner. He sold the stolen phone to an unknown person in Delhi for Rs 7,000 and spent the money on food and drinks. He changed the number plate of the scooter and contacted his friend Omji to help him in selling the stolen scooter.

Both arrested persons were booked under Sections 317(2), 342(2) and Section 3(5) of the BNS.
