Rajasthan Teacher Duped Of Properties Worth ₹25L By Tantrik’s Black Magic Fraud

Jodhpur: A school teacher in Jodhpur fell victim to fraud after seeking help from a tantrik for domestic troubles.

The teacher, Chetanram Devda, reportedly transferred two properties to the tantrik, Kalu Khan, who then sold them to others without returning them or the promised money.

Chetanram’s wife, Sushma Devda, lodged an FIR against Kalu Khan, his son, and two others involved in the property sale.

The FIR alleges that Chetanram Devda, seeking solutions for domestic issues, approached Kalu Khan, who claimed to practice black magic. Khan convinced Chetanram that his property was the source of problems and manipulated him into transferring ownership in July 2023.

When the problems continued, Chetanram requested the property back. Fearing invented consequences, he was pressured into transferring another property in November 2023.

Subsequently, Kalu Khan sold both properties, initially belonging to Chetanram Devda, to Birbal and Ram Kishore for a sum of Rs 24.91 lakh, without the victim receiving any compensation.

The scam unravelled when the new property owners approached Chetanram to vacate the premises. Sushma Devda, upon learning of the fraud, filed the FIR on May 17.

While no arrests have been made yet, the Jodhpur police are actively investigating the case
