Instagram Friend, His Associate Drug And Gang Rape Woman in UP

Lucknow: A woman was drugged and gang raped by her Instagram friend as well as his associate at a hotel in Uttar Pradesh’s Shamli district. The victim was allegedly made unconscious by the two men who allegedly gave her a cold drink laced with sedatives.

As per the complaint lodged by the victim, who is from Meerut, she developed friendship with a man on Instagram. The man claimed to be a bank employee and promised to help her get a bank job.

The accused allegedly sent his friend and asked the woman to come to Thanabhavan in Shamli district, where she met the accused.

The woman alleged that they gave her a cold drink laced with sedatives and then took her to a hotel where they gang-raped her.

Police have registered a case as per the woman’s complaint and have initiated an investigation.
