Man Kills Brother, Pregnant Sister-in-Law, Nephew over Property Dispute

Mumbai: A man named Hanumant Patil was arrested by the police in Maharashtra’s Raigad district for murdering his 40-year-old elder brother, the latter’s pregnant wife and minor son due to a property dispute.

The bodies of Madan Patil, his 35-year-old wife and 11-year-old son were found behind their house at Kalamb village of Raigad district on Sunday. The deceased woman was seven months pregnant.

All victims were attacked with an axe. All of them died due to head injuries.

After committing the triple murder on Sunday, the accused went to a Ganesh pandal at his relative’s place on Monday morning to show he was there since night. But the CCTV footage revealed at what time he reached and left the pandal.

Initially, the accused misguided the police and denied his role in the murders. After a thorough interrogation, he confessed to killing the three persons.
