Two Arrested For Collecting Money from Youths For Appointment as LAccMI Bus Conductor

Balangir: Two persons allegedly involved in collecting money from youths in the name of providing jobs as conductors of LAccMI bus service were arrested from Titlagarh in Odisha’s Balangir district.

The additional transport manager, Balangir had filed a complaint with the police alleging that some miscreants were collecting money from unemployed youths with false promises of giving them appointments in the post of the conductor in buses under the state government’s Location Accessible Multi-modal Initiative (LAccMI) scheme.

As per the complaint, the accused persons had taken Rs 25,000 from each aspirant for the LAccMi bus conductor post. Acting as per the information provided by the victims, police raided several places and arrested two persons.

The arrested persons were identified as Sourabh Kumar Lima of Gunupur in Rayagada district and Benu Gopal Behera of Kantabanji in Balangir. Their accomplice Sanjeev Nayak managed to escape.
