’12th Fail’ Becomes 1st Film in 23 Yrs to Complete 25-Week Run in Theatres

Mumbai: Vikrant Massey’s critically acclaimed blockbuster ’12th Fail’ became the first film in 23 years to complete a 25-week run in theatres.

Massey took to social media to express his gratitude, sharing a special poster commemorating the occasion. He wrote, “First film in 23 years to achieve this milestone. Thank you audiences for making our dream come true. YOU truly are responsible for making this happen (sic).”

This news has been met with celebration by the film industry. The official Instagram page of Vidhu Vinod Chopra Films echoed Massey’s sentiment, calling it “a testament to the impact that a good story can have.”

’12th Fail’ is produced and directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. Massey won the Best Actor Award in the Critics Category at the 69th Filmfare Awards for this movie.

’12th Fail’ is based on a 2019 book of the same name, depicting the early life and struggles of IPS officer Manoj Kumar Sharma.
