Ashutosh Gowarikar to Make Film on Adi Shankara

Mumbai: Noted filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker is planning a new film titled Shankar.

The film will be based on the life and times of Adi Shankaracharya. He made this announcement on the sidelines of the inauguration of 108-ft tall ‘Statue of Oneness’ of Adi Shankaracharya on the bank of the Narmada river in Omkareshwar in Madhya Pradesh.

Ashutosh Gowariker said, “I am deeply honoured to have the opportunity to illuminate his life and wisdom on the cinematic canvas in collaboration with Nyas and Ekatma Dham.”
