Athiya Shetty’s Dreamy Wedding Lehenga Took Over 10,000 Hrs To Make

Mumbai: Heart-warming images from Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul’s wedding have been flooding Instagram feeds. The pair shared lovely images of their sunset wedding at Suniel Shetty’s Khandala property, where they were married on Monday (January 24).

Athiya donned a tone-on-tone Chikankari lehenga outfit in a light pink colour with embroidery all over the cloth. The nude theme was adhered to by Athiya’s traditional yet fashionable wedding lehenga, which was created by Anamika Khanna.

“We created an extremely fine piece of Chikankari, as well as jaali ka kaam and Zardozi. In terms of the colour, it is an old-rose colour and even the metallic colours that we’ve used on the lehenga are slightly burnt and old-world. It’s got that subtlety to it,” Anamika told a media outlet.

She stated that the major part of her costume was made of silk, while her veil and dupatta were made of silk organza. “The outfit is a labour of love. It took approximately 10,000 hours to make” Anamika remarked.

Athiya chose a bridal ensemble that contrasted the romantic ivory floral decorations rather than the traditional crimson. Her lehenga was decked with a collection of jewels, including earrings, a maang-tikka, a thick polki and pearl necklace. She chose gorgeous bangles and custom cascade charms.

Athiya posted images from her wedding day on Instagram, saying, “We got married today, surrounded by the people we love the most, in the place that has brought us so much happiness and peace. On this journey of togetherness, we ask for your blessings with a heart full of gratitude and love.”

Athiya’s fusion of traditional and contemporary styles will inspire brides and offer wedding attire a distinctive flair.
