‘Blackout’ Trailer Shows Vikrant Massey Dodging Cops in Night Out With Gold, Cash

Mumbai: Production house JioStudios on Thursday dropped the two-minute-40-second-long trailer of the black comedy crime adventure ‘Blackout’. Blackout is slated to stream on JioCinema from June 7.

In the trailer, Vikrant Massey gets entangled in a series of hilarious difficult situations after finding a car filled with smuggled gold and cash. This Devang Shashin Bhavsar black-comedy also features Mouni Roy and Sunil Grover.

The trailer also features All We Imagine as Light star Chhaya Kadam and Ruhani Sharma.

It is a chaotic night as the city is under blackout as a storm rages. During the power outage, Vikrant’s car crashes into a vehicle filled with smuggled gold and cash. He loots the valuables and drives away to be soon stopped by a drunken Sunil Grover.

The following scenes show Vikrant in a graveyard, where he encounters Saurabh Ghadge and Karan Sonawane, who offer to help him for money. They are later stopped by a police officer who asks if they are carrying explosives. A completely drunk Sunil replies, “Bomb nahi laash hai humare pass.”

Sunil, Saurabh and Karan are then seen partying in a club while a frustrated Vikrant exclaims, “Tum teen world class pagal mere sir pe aake kyu baithe ho (Why are you three crazy people tormenting me)?”

The quartet is later joined by Mouni Roy, who asks for a lift on this turbulent night. Subsequent clips show a police pursuit with Sunil shooting at the police vehicle. Vikrant and his gang navigate winding roads as a photographer (played by Jisshu Sengupta) takes their pictures and later points a gun at them.

Vikrant curses his fate and finds himself trapped in a warehouse, fighting for his life alongside Mouni Roy, as explosions rock the area and bullets fly from all directions.
