Priyanka Chopra Reveals Why She Left Bollywood: Says ‘Was Being Pushed Into A Corner’

New Delhi: Global star Priyanka Chopra Jonas is one of the most loved actresses in the entertainment news. However, she has been keeping away from Bollywood for quite some time now.

She last starred in the Bollywood film ‘The Sky is Pink’ in 2019, and prior to that, she had starred in the 2016 film ‘Jai Gangaajal’.

During her chat with Dax Shepherd on his podcast Armchair Expert, PeeCee claimed that she was pushed to a corner while she was working in Bollywood and that she was tired of the politics.

“I was being pushed into a corner in the industry. I had people not casting me, I had beef with people, I am not good at playing that game so I kind of was tired of the politics and I said I needed a break,” PeeCee said.

She went on to say that it was then that her manager Anjula Acharia saw her music video and gave her an opportunity to work in the US.

Post moving to the US, Priyanka starred in Hollywood films like ‘Baywatch’, ‘A Kid Like Jake’ ‘Isn’t It Romantic’, ‘We Can Be Heroes’, among others.
