Watch: Trailer of Zoya Akhtar’s “The Archies” Released

Mumbai: The trailer for Zoya Akhtar’s Netflix movie The Archies was released on Thursday. It is a coming-of-age film based on the beloved Archie Comics. It is scheduled to be released on December 7.

This new movie has an ensemble of newcomers like Agastya Nanda, Suhana Khan and Khushi Kapoor. Set in 1960s India, Archie and the gang navigate romance, friendship and the future of Riverdale as developers threaten to destroy a beloved park.

In this Indian version of “Archies, Agastya Nanda is Archie Andrews, Khushi Kapoor is Betty Cooper, Suhana Khan is Veronica Lodge, Vedang Raina is Reggie Mantle, Mihir Ahuja is Jughead Jones, Dot is Ethel Muggs and Yuvraj Menda is Dilton Doiley.

The Archies marks the Bollywood debut of most of its lead actors, including Gauri Khan and Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan, late Sridevi and Boney Kapoor’s daughter Khushi Kapoor, and Jaya Bachchan and Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda.
