Crime Documentary ‘The Indrani Mukerjea Story: Buried Truth’to Unravel Sheena Bora Murder Case

Mumbai: Netflix’s upcoming true-crime documentary series titled ‘The Indrani Mukerjea Story: Buried Truth’, will unravel the intriguing murder case of Sheena Bora. It is alleged that Indrani Mukerjea, a socialite and media executive, allegedly murdered her 25-year-old daughter Sheena Bora. The series will be released on the OTT platform of Netflix on February 23.

Indrani was married to media baron Peter Mukerjea. She was arrested in 2015 on charges of killing Sheena Bora. This sensational murder case shocked the country.

Through bites of Indrani Mukerjea, her children – Vidhie Mukherjea and Mikhail Bora, veteran journalists, and lawyers, this documentary will try to shed light on the family dynamics and complex motivations that led to the murder. Made by Shaana Levy and Uraaz Bahl, this series will also have never before heard call recordings between Indrani, Peter, and Rahul Mukerjea and unseen images of the family.

This documentary will look at sensational family secrets, complicated relationships, buried connections and the possibility of millions of dollars at stake.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed charges against Indrani under the Indian Penal Code Sections 302 (murder), 201 (causing disappearance of evidence), 34 (criminal conspiracy), 420 (cheating and forgery), 364 (kidnapping) 120-B (conspiracy).
