‘Maharaj’, Debut Movie of Aamir Khan’s Son Junaid to Premier on June 14

Mumbai: Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan will make his screen debut in ‘Maharaj’, which will premiere on Netflix on June 14.  The streaming platform took to social media on Wednesday to announce the film’s release date along with its first poster saying, “The fight for the truth between a powerful man and a fearless journalist. Based on true events – Maharaj is releasing on 14 June, only on Netflix!.”

This movie also has Jaideep Ahlawat, Sharvari Wagh and Shalini Pandey.

It is based on the 1862 Maharaja Libel Case. In the film Junaid plays the role of Karsandas Mulji, a journalist and social reformer and a pioneering advocate for women’s rights and social reform. Mulji was a protégé of the scholar-leader Dadabhai Naoroji. He worked for social reforms and wrote on widow remarriage.

This film helmed by filmmaker Siddharth P Malhotra.

After Maharaj, Junaid will be seen in ‘Ek Din’ along with  Sai Pallavi.
