Mumbai police notice to Ranveer Singh

Mumbai: Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh’s troubles are increasing in the nude photo shoot case. On August 22, Mumbai Police sent him a notice for interrogation. It is worth noting that Ranveer had a nude photoshoot for Paper Magazine on July 22. After this photo went viral on social media, an FIR was filed against him by an NGO in Mumbai at the Chembur police station.

It has been alleged by the NGO that Ranveer has hurt women’s sentiments and humiliated them through nude photoshoots. Therefore, the NGO demanded that his photo be removed from Instagram and Twitter and that he be arrested.

A case was filed against Ranveer under Sections 509, 252, 253 of the IPC, Section 67-A of the IT Act. Section 292 of the IPC provides for 5 years imprisonment and Section 293 for 3 years. Similarly, according to IT Act 67-A, Ranveer can be jailed for 5 years. In an interview after the photo shoot, Ranveer said, ‘It is very easy for me to be physically naked. I have been naked in some performances. I can take off my clothes in front of thousands of people. I don’t care. Rather, those present there may feel uncomfortable.’ Ranveer was widely trolled on social media for the photo shoot. However, many celebrities like his wife Deepika Padukone, film director Ramgopal Burma, Arjun Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Masaba Gupta supported Ranveer’s nude photo shoot.
