Ponniyin Selvan Part 1 In Theatres Again On April 21 Ahead Of PS 2 Release

New Delhi: The makers of the Ponniyin Selvan Part 1 have decided to release the first part on April 21 for a week ahead of the release of the second part. The trailer and audio of Ponniyin Selvan: Part 2 were unveiled on March 29 at Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai. The promotions for the second part will begin soon.

Director-actor Parthiban took to Twitter and revealed that he expressed his wish of seeing Ponniyin Selvan: Part 1 in theatres, to Mani Ratnam.

Ponniyin Selvan is an adaptation of the popular Tamil literary novel of the same name, written by Kalki Krishnamurthy. The period drama features Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Chiyaan Vikram, Trisha, Jayam Ravi and Karthi in lead roles. The first part was released on September 30 and opened to positive responses.
