‘Sir Madam Sarpanch’ Bags Best Foreign Film, Best Actress Award for Seema Biswas  at Edinburgh International Film Festival

Mumbai: Indian film ‘Sir Madam Sarpanch’ received the Best Foreign Feature Film award at the Edinburgh International Film Festival. Actress Seema Biswas was feted with the Best Actress award for her work in the same film.

Reacting to her win at the festival, the actress expressed her gratitude to the jury for conferring her with the honour and hoped that the audience across the world show their love for this film.

The film has been produced by Suncal Productions International and directed by Praveen. It is a political satire film on women’s empowerment. According to Praveen, the film’s success underscores the impact of creative storytelling in fostering societal change and highlights the universal relevance of its themes.
