Steven Spielberg Directed Next Movie to Hit Screens in May 2026

Hollywood’s legendary director Steven Spielberg’s next feature directorial project will be released in theatres worldwide in May 2026.

Hollywood studio Universal and Spielberg’s Amblin Entertainment announced Spielberg’s new film on Thursday.

The movie is currently untitled. According to The Hollywood Reporter, it is an “original event film”. Its story is written by Spielberg and the screenplay is written by David Koepp, who worked with the director for “Jurassic Park” and “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull”.

Spielberg’s last film was “The Fabelmans”, released in 2022.

It received seven Academy Awards nominations, including for best picture, directing, best original screenplay, best actress and best picture.
