Mumbai: The trailer ‘Scam 2003: The Telgi Story’ was released on Tuesday. It is the second season of the hit streaming show ‘Scam’.
The second season is India’s biggest stamp paper scam plotted by Abdul Karim Telgi, which shocked the nation.
The trailer slowly reveals the main character Abdul Karim Telgi played by Gagan Dev Riar, as dialogues come up “Kya naam tha?”, to which Riar replies, “Tha nahi madam… Hai, Abdul Karim Telgi”.
Telgi then explains, “Agar desh ki arthvyavashta kuber khazana hai toh stamp paper uski chabi hai”.

Telgi was a convicted counterfeiter, who started making fake passports. He then got involved in complex counterfeiting of stamp paper. Through 300 agents who sold the fakes to bulk purchasers, including banks, insurance companies, and stock brokerage firms.
This show will be released on September 1 on Sony LIV.
