Astronaut Sunita Williams Excited Over Chandrayaan-3’s Moon Landing

New Delhi: Indian-American astronaut Sunita Williams has expressed her excitement and anticipation for the moon landing of the Chandrayaan-3 mission of ISRO.

In a statement shared by National Geographic India, Sunita Williams said, “Landing on the Moon will provide us with invaluable insights. I am truly thrilled that India is at the forefront of space exploration and the pursuit of sustainable living on the Moon. These are truly exciting times.”

“Filled with enthusiasm for lunar exploration, I’m looking forward to seeing the scientific research that should come out of this landing and the rover taking samples, it is just going to be a great step,” she added.

To mark the impending lunar landing, National Geographic India will have a special live coverage of the event. Apart from the live coverage, the show will include insights from notable astronauts such as Sunita Williams and Rakesh Sharma, the first Indian to travel to space, and several other experts.
