ISRO Chief Prays at Chengalamma Temple Ahead of Aditya-L1 Launch

Tirupati: ISRO Chairman S Somanath paid his obeisance at the Sri Chengalamma Parameshwari temple in Sullurpeta in Andhra Pradesh ahead of the launch of the Aditya-L1 mission. He prayed before the deities for the success of this solar mission.

According to reports, the ISRO head had visited the temple before the launch of the Chandrayaan-3 mission.

Somanath visited the temple at 7.30 am on Friday and offered prayers to the deity.

The ISRO chief said the Aditya mission will be launched at 11.50 am on Saturday and it will take 125 days to reach the exact radius.

According to the authorities of the Chengalamma Parameshwari temple, it has become a tradition for ISRO officials to visit this temple before rocket launches for the past 15 years.
