Bhajans to be Used for Music Therapy in ICUs of SCB Medical College

Bhubaneswar: Now bhajans (devotional songs) will be played in ICUs of SCB Medical College and Hospital in Odisha’s Cuttack through enhance healing through music therapy.

The executive body of the medical college has recently approved a proposal in this regard. It is felt that music therapy would have a positive impact on the patients.

According to sources, the hospital authorities plan to play the devotional songs of the noted Odia bhajan singer late Bhikari Bal.

A private agency is expected to be handed over the charge to play devotional songs inside all the 310 ICUs at various departments of SCB.

The SCB medical college authorities are also planning to install a sound system on the campus to provide necessary information to patients and their attendants.
