Indian Inserts Live Eel Up His Anus in Vietnam, It Bites Through His Rectum Into Abdomen

A 31-year-old Indian national was found to have inserted a live eel into his anus when he was rushed to a hospital in Vietnam’s capital Hanoi after experiencing severe abdominal pain.

According to Vietnam media reports, this man with extreme abdominal pain was admitted to the hospital on July 27. The doctors found that the man had inserted a live eel into his rectum earlier in the day.

The live eel bit through the patient’s rectum and colon, entering the abdominal cavity.

An X-ray revealed the eel’s presence in the patient’s abdomen. The eel could not be removed through his anus as the man had also inserted a lemon, which had blocked the anal passage.

The surgeons performed an emergency surgery to take out the live eel, measuring over 25 inches in length and about 4 inches in diameter, inside the patient’s abdominal cavity. Apart from the eel, the lemon was also successfully removed.
