Man Undergoes Hernia Surgery, Doctors Find Uterus, Ovary Inside Body

Gorakhpur: In a startling medical discovery, a 46-year-old man from Gorakhpur underwent surgery for a suspected hernia but was found to have female reproductive organs inside his body.

Rajgir Mistri had been experiencing persistent abdominal pain and sought medical attention after an ultrasound revealed a tissue mass causing discomfort. A subsequent examination at a free hernia camp confirmed a hernia diagnosis.

During the surgical procedure, performed by Dr. Narendra Dev, Professor at BRD Medical College, the medical team made the unexpected discovery of an underdeveloped uterus and an ovary. These female reproductive organs were revealed to be inside Mistri’s body since birth.

Despite this unusual condition, Mistri has no discernible female characteristics and is a father of two. Dr. Dev attributed the occurrence to a rare birth defect. The patient has recovered fully from the surgery.
