Hunza Community: The Happiest & Healthiest People On This Planet

Hunza people, the well-known Himalayan Pakistani tribals, who don’t require the modern conveniences that aged people in the West have, like a residential home elevator or a chair lift.

Staying active and adhering to a traditional diet eliminates the need for home elevators since they have no difficulty traversing stairs.

The Hunza people or Hunzakuts are people who have lived centuries in their very own isolated valleys. They speak Wakhi and Shina.

The Hunzas are the centre of attraction for people around the world because of the long and happy life they lead.

The average life expectancy of the Hunza people is said to be 100 years, while some also exceed 120.

WHY HUNZAS ARE SO HEALTHY?

Many researchers have also lived with the Hunza people to find out about their life expectancy and none come across a single person who’s been diagnosed with cancer, stomach ulcers, appendicitis, or any other disease.

As the Hunza tribe lives on the Himalayan highlands, they have access to fresh water which is naturally enriched with minerals like potassium, calcium, iron, etc, that are essential for the body and somewhat explain the anti-aging of the Hunza people.

This is pertinent to note that the diet of Hunza people mainly constitutes of organic raw vegetables and fruits with low protein content. Water is also one of the key factors that lead to the longevity of the inhabitants.

In addition to their diet, their hard work also plays a key role in keeping them healthy.

Legends & Geography

Local legend states that Hunza may have been associated with the lost kingdom of Shangri La which was mentioned in the Novel of James Hilton “The Lost Horizon”.

The Broshuski or Burusho or Brusho people live in the Hunza, Nagar, and Yasin valleys of northern Pakistan.
