India’s Most Wanted Fugitive Hate Preacher Zakir Naik Meets Pakistani PM Sharif

Zakir Naik, the fugitive hate speaker, who is in the most wanted list of India for alleged money laundering charges, met Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday.

In a post on X, Zakir Naik wrote, “Interaction with Prime Ministers Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.”

At the invitation of the Pakistan government, Zakir Naik arrived in Pakistan on Monday morning amid tight security. He will deliver a series of lectures at Islamabad, Karachi and Lahore.

Upon his arrival at the New Islamabad Airport, he was received by leaders from the top echelons of the Pakistan government, which included the Chairman of the Pakistan Prime Minister’s Youth Program, Rana Mashhood and Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Syed Atta-ur-Rehman, The Express Tribune reported.

Naik will also have public interactions across Pakistan. During his month long Pakistan visit, he is accompanied by his son, Fariq Naik.

Zakir Naik is known for his inflammatory hate speeches. He has escaped out of India and is currently wanted by the National Investigation Agency of the Government of India under a 2016 money laundering case.

He runs a channel by the name PeaceTV, which is banned across India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. He was denied entry into Canada and the United Kingdom because of his hate speeches fanning communal hatred.
