World’s Oldest Cat, Rosie, Dies At 33

The world’s oldest cat named Rosie died at the age of 33 at her owner’s home in Norwich, UK, reported the New York Post.

According to Rosie’s owner Lila Brisset, Rosie was a fluffy tortoiseshell cat was born in 1991. She held the unofficial title of “world’s oldest cat” as the current holder of the title is Flossie, a 28-year-old cat from Kent.

In June, Rosie turned 33. As per reports, Rosie died at the equivalent age of 152 in human years.

Lila had adopted Rosie when she was a kitten.

As of now, Creme Puff of Austin, Texas holds the record for being the oldest cat ever born. This cat born on August 3, 1967, survived until August 6, 2005, for 38 years and 3 days.
