YouTuber Gets His Skull Fractured as RPG Launcher Explodes During Test

In a horrifying incident captured on camera, YouTuber and US Army veteran Adam Knowles faced a harrowing moment when a remote-propelled grenade (RPG) launcher exploded in his hands during a safety test for the Ballistic High-Speed YouTube channel. Knowles, who is now in recovery, shared the footage for medical and educational purposes.

The incident occurred last month as Knowles was assessing the potential dangers of back-blast from various launchers. The video footage showed him engulfed in flames as he fired a grenade from an RPG-7, with a part of the launcher exploding immediately. The impact knocked Knowles unconscious, causing a broken jaw, fractured skull, shrapnel wounds, and third-degree burns, according to Dexerto.

Despite adhering to safety checks and precautions, the unexpected explosion occurred during the “final shot of the day.” Knowles, while watching the playback, mentioned that he is on the path to recovery but still has a “solid few months” ahead before returning to relative normalcy.

Knowles explained in the video that the shoot included multiple launcher tests, and the RPG-7 incident happened in the blink of an eye. The emergency services were called immediately, and Knowles was airlifted to the nearest hospital. Remarkably, he had no recollection of the incident after the countdown.
