Noida Police Sounds the Alarm on Underage Driving, Issues Stern Warning

Noida: The Gautam Buddh Nagar Police Commissionerate has issued a stern warning to parents regarding underage driving in Noida and Greater Noida. In an effort to enhance road safety, the police emphasized that minors under 18 years old must not operate two-wheelers or four-wheelers under any circumstances.

According to an official statement, the police highlighted the legal consequences faced by parents or guardians if their underage children are found driving. Penalties include fines up to Rs 25,000, cancellation of vehicle registration for a year, and a prohibition on obtaining a driving license until the age of 25 for the minor.

This initiative comes in response to a rise in traffic accidents involving minors across the country. The Noida Police emphasize the dangers of underage driving and urge parents to take responsibility for their children’s safety.

Traffic police will be conducting rigorous checks to enforce the regulations. Violators will be held accountable under Section 199A of the Motor Vehicles Act.
