93 Persons Hospitalized After Eating Temple Feast in Maharashtra

Mumbai: At least 93 persons were admitted to different hospitals in a suspected food poisoning case after attending a temple feast in Maharashtra’s Nanded district.

According to the officials sources, all these persons ate ‘ambil’ (sour porridge) and ‘khir’ (a sweet dish made from milk) at a Shiva temple at Naigaon in Nanded district on Wednesday evening.

But after consuming the food, the devotees felt dizzy and started vomiting. , he said.

The number of persons complaining symptoms of food poisoning increased with time, and by late night 93 people were admitted to various hospitals for treatment.

The condition of all of them is stable and they are out of danger, said local officials.

A police team visited the spot to start an inquiry.
