Reel Gone Wrong: Gujarat Students’ Beach Stunt Lands Them in Hot Water | WATCH

Two college students from Mundra, Gujarat, found themselves in hot water after their attempt at a social media reel backfired.

Karan Sorathiya and Paresh Sorathiya, both 23, were booked by the Mundra Marine Police for driving their Mahindra Thars onto Bhadreshwar beach, where their vehicles became stuck during high tide.

A video of the incident, which recently went viral, shows the two Thars – one white, one red – partially submerged on the beach. The stranded students can be seen trying to push the red Thar out of the water.

According to a sub-inspector at the Mundra Marine Police station, the incident occurred two weeks before the video surfaced online. The cop told reporters that the students were driving on the crowded beach when the tide came in, quickly submerging their vehicles. Unable to free the Thars themselves, the students called on nearby villagers for assistance.

“The people from a nearby village used a tractor to pull out the two vehicles from the water,” the SI said.

The police have seized one of the vehicles and are questioning the driver.
