Karnataka Govt Approves South Asia’s Tallest Skydeck in Bengaluru, 3-Times Higher Than Qutab Minar

Bengaluru: The ambitious Bengaluru Skydeck project was approved by the Karnataka Cabinet on Thursday. This skydeck to be built at a cost of Rs 500 crore will be South Asia’s tallest structure. It will provide a 360 degree view of the Indian tech capital.

The Skydeck tower will be approximately 250 meters high almost three times that of Delhi’s Qutub Minar.

The Skydeck will be constructed on the NICE Road in outer Bengaluru. It will have a lavish shopping complex, world class facilities for tourists. It will be connected to the metro rail for easy access by the tourists.

The Karnataka government initially wanted to build the Skydeck in the middle of Bengaluru but Defense Ministry raised objections as there are establishments of the Defense in many areas of Bengaluru city, for which such a high tower will be a security threat.
