Long Queues for Free Liquor Distributed at Karnataka MP’s Party for Chikkaballapur Poll Win

Bengaluru: People formed long queues to collect the free liquor bottles brought in by trucks at a poll win party hosted by Chikkaballapur BJP MP K Sudhakar. Liquor was distributed and served openly at this party, reported India Today.

Ironically, the alcohol was served in the presence of the police.

Chikkaballapur MP K Sudhakar in a letter to the police department seeking security deployment mentioned that alcohol would be served at the party.

“From 12.30 pm, the stage event will begin, and food and alcohol arrangements will be made,” his letter to the police department stated.

However, Bangalore Rural Superintendent of Police CK Baba told the organisers not to serve alcohol at the event, warning them that violations would result in legal action. But the party organizers took permission from the Excise Department to serve alcohol.

K Sudhakar won by defeating the Congress candidate MS Raksha Ramaiah by a margin of more than 1.5 lakh votes from the Chikkaballapur constituency in the Lok Sabha elections.
